Rohnert Park and Sonoma County public safety officials detained a woman Monday afternoon after receiving a report of a person with a gun in the vicinity of the FoodMaxx store on Rohnert Park Expressway. Officers took the woman into custody after firing two less lethal rounds at her, part of a heavy law enforcement response that involved multiple agencies and lasted a little over two hours after police were first alerted to an armed person on the West Copeland Creek Trail. Around 3:45 p.m. the woman, who was handcuffed and strapped to a stretcher, was placed in an ambulance.
